In "MADE IN ITALY" the young filmmaker Fabio Wuytack discovers an old film which was shot more than 100 years ago in Carrara (Italy) by the inventors of cinema, the Lumière brothers.
Fabio decides to bring the film back to the charming little marble-city where even Michelangelo came to make his sculptures. With the help of a sinister cinema-owner, some rough mineworkers, an enthusiast old priest and other fascinating characters he tries to find the mythical location where the Lumière brothers have filmed.

Nel film "MADE IN ITALY" il giovane regista Fabio Wuytack riscopre un filmato storico dei fratelli Lumière che è stato girato cento anni fa a Carrara.
Fabio decide di riportare questo filmato leggendario nel luogo dove anche Michelangelo veniva a cercare la sua ispirazione ed i suoi blocchi di marmo. Inizia così un'avventura attraverso le Alpi Apuane, dando vita ad una ricerca cinematografica, ricca di scene "da commedia dell'arte". Con l'aiuto non solo dei cavatori, che tramandano nei secoli il duro rapporto dell'uomo con il marmo, ma anche di un "sinistro cinefilo" e di tanti altri personaggi, viene ricercato il set dimenticato dai fratelli Lumière, con il suo "tunnel misterioso".
Il film è un viaggio affascinante, che porta Fabio Wuytack più vicino alle sue radici, più di quanto lui avrebbe mai potuto immaginare...
In "MADE IN ITALY" herontdekt de jonge filmmaker Fabio Wuytack een historisch filmpje dat de gebroeders Lumière meer dan honderd jaar geleden in het Italiaanse Carrara maakten.
Fabio beslist om dit legendarische filmpje terug te brengen naar dit Toscaans stadje waar ook Michelangelo zijn inspiratie en marmerblokken kwam zoeken. Samen met een handvol jonge avonturiers trekt hij de Alpen over voor een tocht vol "commedia dell'arte". Met de hulp van enkele noeste groevearbeiders, een stokoude dorpsverteller, een sinistere cinefiel en tal van andere lokale figuren wordt stukje bij beetje de vergeten locatie van de mythische tunnel achterhaald.
Het is een zoektocht vol Italiaanse charme, die Fabio Wuytack dichter bij huis brengt dan hij zelf had kunnen denken...
